Lower San Pedro River Important Bird Area Events

April 16-17: Lower San Pedro River IBA, based at TNC Preserve- Dudleyville Crossing & Preserve IBA bird surveys (Friday night through Sat. morning, same time period as Patagonia bird surveys).
Join ASU tech students led by Audubon Arizona, Dir. of Bird Conservation, Tice Supple in bird surveys for this IBA. This weekend and the next we are trying to survey all our regular survey locations within this IBA to continue to monitor migration use and spring breeding birds in the IBA. This is an opportunity for a very few of our IBA Program volunteers to assist and help this effort. Your experience would be most valuable. Two nights camping at TNC Preserve.

April 22-24: Lower San Pedro River IBA, based out of San Manuel Lodge (Thurs. night through Sat. morning). Aravaipa confluence to Cascabel, bird surveys by IBA teams. Owl surveys in evenings from River Road. Need lots of IBA volunteers. Opportunity for one IBA team to overnight in Cascabel.
